You have friends, neighbors or co-workers interested in this hobby you have, but aren’t sure of the best event to take or send them to? Well, worry not any further, this is the event in need. This event is even great for the seasoned SCA’er that would like to learn something new. We will have a nice selection of classes (see schedule below) that will cover things like SCA camping, fighting, lists for both the new fighter AND the new consort, garb research, entering cooking competitions, and even things children and teens can do to while away the day. Along with these wonderful classes, we will have 3 separate tournaments throughout the day; the first will be for fighters authorized for 1 year or less and have never won a tournament, the second will be for fighters that have been authorized for 2 years or less and never won a tournament and the third will be a prize tournament open to ALL authorized fighters. Armor Inspection at 10:00 am sharp, first tourney starting at 10:30 am.

Come join Southern Shores for a wonderful day in the park full of learning, fun, tournaments and pageantry.

Site Information: the site opens at 9:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm in Calabazas Park in San Jose, at Rainbow blvd. and Blaney just off Hwy 85 and S. De Anza Blvd. There is no site fee, but donations will be gratefully accepted.
