Dear “New to the SCA”,

It is unfortunate to find a lord who has been in the SCA for years and has not gleaned a little knowledge about courtliness, honor and chivalry. Thank him kindly for his interests (just because he is an oaf doesn’t mean you have to act like one) but firmly tell him that he is no gentleman with honor, chivalry or courtly manners. That such a lord as he, is a boor and that type does not hold your interests. I know that it may sound a little harsh (but look who we are dealing with), but remember: a true lord will follow you up the garden path, but when he gets to the gate he will not cross it, unless he as been clearly invited.
