Twelfth Night AS XXV

By Lord Brocc of Alderden

Judging from the size of the crowds at Twelfth night, it was a great success. A second dining area was created, the Courts were standing room only, there were more dancers than could fit in the room, and the merchants areas were packed as usual.

There were rooms set aside for people to visit, which allowed the Court and dining areas to be less crowded. Our hosts were kind enough to provide a table of great food for us. They also provided live music for the dancing that evening.

The Courts and the transition between Kings went smoothly. Many awards were given, but since I did not take notes, I am not going to take a chance on forgetting to mention somebody. One of the highlights of His Majesty's first Court was the renaming of the “Erics." It was determined that there were too many" Erics" in the Society, so everyone with that name or a derivative thereof, was given a new (period) name for that day.

All told, Twelfth night was a lot of fun. We had a good turnout from Southern Shores, and it was good to see some people that I hadn't seen since Purgatorio.
